Good morning. I would like to thank everyone who voted yesterday for our two bond proposals. Both of the proposals passed and we appreciate all you do for our district and for the continuous support. Have a great Wednesday.
Thank you,
Lori Justus
Summer EBT is being offered through Otoe-Missouria Tribe SEBT program. Services are available for eligible students within schools in Noble County. Qualifying families will receive $120 of food benefits per child issued on one benefit issuance on an EBT card, which works like a debit card. Participation in this program will have no impact on other government assistance participants may receive. Eligibility for the program is based on free or reduced school meals. Households that are on a direct certification list from these schools will automatically be issued a card for Summer EBT. Students who attend a participating school do not need to apply. Cards are set to be mailed in the beginning of June. Households can choose to opt out by contacting the Summer EBT team. More information can be found at www.oksebt.org. You can also email at help@oksebt.org. For English speaking families please call 918-213-4855. For Spanish speaking families please call 918-779-1280.
Tomorrow Morrison voters will go to the polls and decide whether or not to pass a bond issue for transportation, technology, facility upgrades, new construction, and facility maintenance for our school district. These two bond proposals will not increase tax rates, but are replacing old bond issues that are rolling off the tax roll. We appreciate your support and if you have any questions please email me at lorijustus@morrisonps.com Please don't forget to vote!
Good afternoon. I want to share with all you the newly adopted calendar for the 2025-2026 school year. The process of getting a calendar approved by our board of education took longer this year because we waiting on the Oklahoma State Board of Education to approve our SB441 waiver. This waiver allows us to have a district calendar that is less than the required 165 days. We were granted a waiver for 156 days and will have a 4 day week except for the months of November and December. We are no longer able to count virtual days as instructional days, so we will be in regularly scheduled classes on Monday November 3, November 10, November 17, December 1, December 8, and December 15. Our daily schedule will remain the same on those days. We are excited that our waiver was approved and look forward to next year. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Good morning. There was some questions asked last week about the upcoming bond issue, so I would like to take the opportunity to share some additional information about the May 13th bond election for Morrison Public Schools.
